South Korea to resume excavations of Korean War remains in DMZ next month


South Korea plans to resume the excavation of Korean War remains in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) next month, voicing hope that resumption of the project will help improve relations with North Korea.

Seoul’s defense ministry has drawn up plans to restart recovery operations at the White Horse Hill (백마고지), a key battle site within the DMZ, a ROK government official confirmed to NK News on Wednesday, speaking on condition of anonymity.
