A master of ceremonies for the 2025 Ryder Cup resigned after appearing to encourage fans to make a vulgar chant toward Team Europe star Rory McIlroy.
“Heather McMahan has extended an apology to Rory McIlroy and Ryder Cup Europe and has stepped down from hosting the first tee of the Ryder Cup,” the PGA of America said in a statement, per ESPN.com.
While hyping up the crowd prior to Saturday’s play, McMahan purportedly said, “F–k you, Rory” into a live mic.
