A Seoul-based nonprofit has called on the international community to take bold action against North Korea’s ongoing practice of enforced disappearances, accusing the DPRK of perpetrating nearly 100,000 cases of the transnational crime.
In a new report released Thursday, the Transitional Justice Working Group (TJWG) issued guidelines to the the United Nations and governments of the U.S., Japan, South Korea and other countries outlining steps they should take in response to North Korea’s enforced disappearances.
