Two women who died in a car crash in Hong Kong’s Tai Po on Monday were a domestic helper and her boss, the Post learned.
A source told the Post that a 37-year-old victim was an Indonesian domestic helper employed by an 88-year-old local woman, who also died in the incident.
The crash also injured a 71-year-old pedestrian who sustained abrasions on her right cheek.
On Monday, police arrested a 60-year-old private car driver after he rammed his vehicle into a stationary van at Po Heung Lane in Tai Po.
The incident occurred at a roundabout behind Tai Po Complex, which includes a wet market on the ground and first floor.
The area is popular for drivers to drop off or pick up passengers for shopping. Bouquets were laid and sticks of incense were burnt at the site in the aftermath of the incident.
