The New Orleans Saints “aren’t expected” to trade running back Alvin Kamara despite interest from other teams, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Saturday.
According to Rapoport, Saints general manager Mickey Loomis has approached Kamara to tell him other teams had inquired about his trade availability.
Kamara then told Loomis he wanted to finish out his career with the Saints, Rapoport reported.
The running back is under contract through the 2026 season after signing a two-year, $24.5 million extension last October.
He is expected to play in Sunday’s Week 6 game against the New England Patriots despite being limited in practice this week with an ankle injury, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Saturday.
