South Korea issued an emergency flood evacuation alert for an inter-Korean border area late Tuesday following North Korea’s presumed release of water from a nearby dam.
According to the Han River Flood Control Office, the water level at Pilseung Bridge in Yeoncheon County exceeded 1 meter at 11 p.m. on Tuesday and gradually rose to about 1.4 meters, currently holding at that level as of Wednesday morning.
