South Korean President Lee Jae-myung said it would be a “good thing” if U.S. President Donald Trump meets North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during his upcoming visit to the region, amid speculation of a possible impromptu encounter between the two leaders.

Lee made the remarks in an interview segment released Thursday by CNN, responding to a question about whether he expects a meeting ahead of next week’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in South Korea.
