New Zealand has sanctioned North Korean munitions industry chiefs and its arms department to Russia as part of new restrictions targeting the allies’ military cooperation over the war in Ukraine.
The new sanctions package largely focuses on lowering the price cap on Russian crude oil to $47.60 from $60 in cooperation with Canada, the EU and the U.K. to “curtail crucial oil revenues fuelling Putin’s illegal war of aggression against Ukraine,” Prime Minister Winston Peters announced on Friday.
