On Saturday, Robert Pattinson proved that it’s possible to style sandals in the fall, hitting the red carpet for the “Die My Love” premiere in New York City in a fisherman silhouette.

The actor, who stars in the forthcoming thriller comedy movie alongside Jennifer Lawrence, arrived at the event in black shoes with interlaced straps that created a basket-weave effect across the actor’s feet. Rendered in leather, the shoes featured a rounded toe and a low heel. Inside was a tan sole, which drew more attention to the summery footwear choice. To bring the shoes into fall territory, Pattinson paired them with black socks. The sandals are most likely from Dior, as Pattinson has served as the luxury label’s brand ambassador since 2013 and frequently turns to the fashion house for his outfits. 

Pattinson’s look for the evening — which came straight from Dior men’s spring 2026 collection — echoed the shoe’s polished appearance. He was dressed in a sharp black suit and a white button-up, which appeared to be layered over a long white fringe scarf that covered the majority of his right leg. 

Pattinson’s girlfriend, actress and singer Suki Waterhouse, joined him on the red carpet. The “Daisy Jones and The Six” star also wore a fresh-off-the-catwalk ensemble, opting for a vintage-looking dress from Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen’s spring 2026 line. Her number featured a structured corset-style bodice crafted from floral tapestry fabric along with lace-up detailing. On the bottom was a voluminous skirt in light grey. For accessories, Waterhouse tapped into the mesh shoe trend with a pair of pointy flats.

Lawrence, for her part, was outfitted in a custom Dior black gown and coordinating Manolo Blahnik suede heels. Hitting theaters on November 7, the film also stars Sissy Spacek, Sarah Lind and LaKeith Stanfield.
