There’s a street gutter crackpot antisemitism, and then you have what you could call a more respectable antisemites — let’s say Charles Lindbergh, a person who was highly respected, respectable person, a great hero to many Americans, but found, had a racial view of the world and found antisemitic ideas persuasive. -Henry Ford. -Henry Ford. So you had these respectable antisemites and crackpot antisemites, and their coming together, I would say, is the creation of an antisemitic politics. Tucker is this kind of — comes from this preppy background. Father was an ambassador. Stepmother’s a Swanson, and sees an America that’s not the way he wants it to be. That’s declining, that doesn’t look the way he looks like. That has norms that he doesn’t share. “And maybe I don’t want to live in a country that looks nothing like the country I grew up in. Is that bigoted?” And you have Fuentes, who comes from — he didn’t go to college. He dropped out of college. He comes from a modest background. “They don’t care about the young white men at all. And they don’t care about them because I’m one of them.” He is dripping with resentment to a world that he feels doesn’t have a place for him —— -A self-described proud incel. -Yeah. “I’m a real incel. And you want to know why? Because I live an incel life.” And also very interesting that he does not try to hide it or pretend that he is not socially maladjusted in some way and that lends him authenticity and makes people gravitate towards it. “Nick Fuentes, thank you for doing this.” This meeting between Tucker and Fuentes symbolizes the kind of recognition between these two groups. “I wanted to meet you. I’ve heard about you.” “I’ve heard about you.” In that interview, in that moment, the most perfect encapsulation of antisemitic politics.
