C.J. Stroud, Texans Offense Criticized by NFL Fans in MNF Loss to JSN, Seahawks

C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans offense had few answers for the Seattle Seahawks defense on Monday night.

Houston managed just 254 total yards and scored just one offensive touchdown in the 27-19 defeat. A bulk of the yards came in the fourth quarter when the Texans attempted to claw back into the game.

Stroud, who went 23-for-49 with 229 passing yards, was one of many people who received criticism for Monday’s poor showing.

Texans offensive coordinator Nick Caley came under fire as well for the poor spots that he put Stroud in against a tough Seahawks defense.

The culmination of the awful performance was a poorly-executed trip inside the red zone with five minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Texans failed to reach the end zone despite getting down to the one-yard line.

The Texans scored a late touchdown on a pass from Stroud to Woody Marks, but that was a small consolation prize on an overall rough night.

Houston doesn’t have much time to get right on offense. The Texans face a short week before they face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. After that, they have two more tough home games against the Denver Broncos and Jacksonville Jaguars.
