China has built a large new symbolic gate resembling a triumphal arch at a new border bridge to North Korea, part of local authorities’ efforts to finally start using the bridge to boost trade over six years after it was built.

The Tumen government reported in September that the new Tumen Highway Port gate measures 37.6 meters tall by 58.67 meters wide (123.4 by 192.5 feet). It is similar in design to the Arch of Triumph in the DPRK capital and is actually about 8 meters wider, but 23 meters shorter.
