China’s ambassador attended North Korean festivities to mark the 72nd anniversary of the end of the Korean War on Sunday, according to NK News analysis of state media, in a contrast with his absence from high-profile celebrations last year. 

Footage aired by DPRK state television on Monday shows the Chinese envoy Wang Yajun among other diplomats at a concert in Pyongyang to honor veterans of the 1950-53 war, which North Korea frames as a victory.
