North Korean defectors testified about the DPRK state’s systematic abuse of disabled citizens on Thursday, presenting harrowing accounts of infanticide, medical experimentation and other violations of human rights.

The presentations took place at a seminar in Seoul hosted by the female defector-led NGO Tongil Mom, where speakers documented the collapse of North Korea’s health care system and called for accountability for Pyongyang’s leadership.
