Sustainable outdoor brand Finisterre caps a busy autumn by adding a permanent store opening in the Victoria Leeds shopping centre to a seasonal pop-up space at the London department store Selfridges and a collaboration with rugged footwear brand Veja.
The Cornish cold-water surf company has signed for a 2,464 sq ft store in Victoria Quarter, marking the brand’s northern debut showcasing the brand’s full lifestyle collection alongside its innovative surfwear and outerwear ranges.
The new Leeds location “marks a natural next step for Finisterre, strengthening [our] Northern community and sharing its love of the sea with more people who value the outdoors, adventure, and sustainability”.
Will Sheane, CEO at Finisterre, added: “Victoria Leeds is the perfect home for us. It’s right in the heart of a vibrant city with a strong sense of community and a growing appetite for sustainable, high-quality outdoor apparel.”
Rachel Bradburn, head of Leasing at operator Redical, added: “Finisterre is a British brand with a loyal following and a powerful purpose, and an exceptional addition to our line-up.
“Their northern debut with us… builds on the destination’s growing appeal to distinctive, values-led retailers. Following hot on the heels of Omnes and Dinny Hall signings, these lettings reinforce Victoria Leeds as the home of northern firsts and a leading platform for premium, design-driven brands.”
