Top corporate leaders, athletes and members of ethnic minority groups are hitting the streets on Sunday to carry the torch for the Hong Kong section of the National Games relay.
The two-hour 10km relay will begin at the government’s headquarters in Tamar Park, passing the Central harbourfront and Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai, before the torch crosses Victoria Harbour by ferry and ends at Kai Tak Sports Park.
The event takes place alongside relays in Macau, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, with each city featuring 50 torch-bearers.
Representatives from the four cities will return the flame to Guangzhou after the relays for a ceremony at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Centre.
The National Games are scheduled to start on November 9.
The Post will track the relay in Hong Kong as it happens.
