Hawes & Curtis has a passion for physical retail and it shows through in a return to Kent’s Bluewater Shopping Centre with a new-look store.
The classic British menswear brand said the opening represents a “fresh interpretation of its already renowned retail experience”.
And importantly, it also “reaffirms the brand’s commitment to key shopping destinations and the continued relevance of physical retail within an evolving shopping landscape”.
The new store combines the brand’s 150 years of London’s Jermyn Street heritage and luxury services — in-store tailoring and alterations — within a more contemporary setting “offering a one-stop menswear destination for every lifestyle and occasion”.
Hawes & Curtis owner and chairman Touker Suleyman said: “Retail is all about understanding the customer, giving them what they want at the best possible value. People want to be back in stores, feeling the product, getting items fitted and enjoying the experience… Hawes & Curtis has evolved with that mindset.
“The new Bluewater store reaffirms our commitment to British retail, our confidence in the high street and in the future of physical shopping”.
Last month, Bluewater owner/operator Landsec revealed fashion sales there rose as much as 15.7% year on year in the April to June quarter “with shoppers showing strong demand for brands that not only offer trend-led apparel but great experiences for guests”.
