The U.S. Department of Justice is trying to recover over $1 million worth of cryptocurrency that North Korean IT workers stole from a New York-based blockchain company, continuing Washington’s efforts to disrupt these skilled operatives’ efforts to generate foreign currency for the regime.
According to court documents, the department filed a complaint last Tuesday before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia seeking the forfeiture of approximately 1,008,903 USDT, a stablecoin whose value is pegged to the U.S. dollar.
