Lily Collins brought her signature beauty aesthetic to the Season Five premiere of Netflix’s “Emily in Paris” in a big way on Monday. Outside the Grand Rex theater in Paris, the 36-year-old actress arrived in a slicked bob and a bold red lip. Aside from the statement-making shade dressing her lips, Collins’ makeup was minimal and even-toned, with only a faint pink shimmer kissing the tops of her eyes.

Collins has been a proponent of the red lip look for years; her character, Emily Cooper, has, too. In fact, on the show, Collins is known to favor the detail as the finishing touch to her avant-garde outfits. While it’s not known which lipstick she uses on set, makeup artist Fiona Stiles layered Thrive Causemetics‘ EmpowerMatte Lipstick Crayons in Rosa and Brandy on Collins for Monday night’s premiere. Rosa is described as a “deep berry” hue, and Brandy is a “spice brown.”

With ingredients such as jojoba oil and shea butter, the lipstick crayon produces a silky, velvet texture — one that doesn’t pill or crumble. Meanwhile, the pointed applicator is designed to line, define and fill, blending the color evenly on top of the lips.

On Instagram, Stiles confirmed all the makeup products she used on Collins’ face were by Thrive Causemetics. “So happy to partner with @thrivecausemetics for this look. I love their products (I’ll talk anybody’s ear off about their incredible Liquid Lash Extensions Tubing Mascara),” she wrote.

She also shared details behind Collins’ skin prep. “When I arrived to get Lily ready for the premiere of ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 5 I gave her an upLift 5 — the Pulsating Facial Lift. I had her use it to sculpt and tone her face before the carpet. After the 5 minutes were up, I started skincare and makeup. With regular use, uplift 5 lifts and sculpts the face and jawline,” she wrote, adding that she then went in with Beauty of Joseon’s Dynasty Cream and Day Dew SPF.

Celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell — whose client list includes Riley Keough, Phoebe Dynevor and Jennifer Lawrence — used products by Pureology and L’Oréal’s AirLight Pro Hair Dryer with Infrared Light Technology to achieve Collins’ slicked bob. Russell has been the architect behind the actress’ chin-length cut for all of her recent press appearances.

For her red carpet fashion, Collins collaborated with her stylist Andrew Mukamal to pay homage to the late designer Giorgio Armani in a black Privé gown with a plunging neckline, a high slit and a velvet bow.

The new fifth season of “Emily in Paris” is scheduled to drop on Thursday. The storyline will pick up with Emily’s move to Rome.
