Mango has doubled its presence in Wales, opening its first store in Cardiff at the St David’s Dewi Sant Shopping Centre.
The 5,300 sq ft flagship “brings Mango’s collection of contemporary and versatile womenswear inspired by the Mediterranean to Welsh customers” via latest womenswear collections, including clothing, footwear and accessories, “designed at Mango’s Barcelona atelier”.
The store also features an interior design inspired by the brand’s Mediterranean heritage and culture, with natural textures, warm tones and sustainable materials.
Fiona Cullen, International regional director for the UK & Ireland, said: “Our new [Cardiff store] is a confident step forward, building on the strong progress we have made over the last year to broaden the appeal of Mango across the UK.”
Mango, which previously has one Welsh store in Broughton Shopping Park in Bretton that opened in May, said the latest opening forms part of its ‘2024-26 4Es Strategic Plan’, which aims to drive sales and store expansion, while elevating the brand to appeal to a wider pool of customers.
The plan includes the goal to open 500 new stores globally by 2026, 20 in the UK in 2025, “a priority growth market for Mango”.
At the end of 2024, it had over 80 stores in the UK, as well as Mango.com and online presence in other marketplaces.
The ongoing expansion plan “builds on Mango’s strong performance”, it said. In July, it reported global turnover of €1.73 billion in the first half of 2025, up 12% year on year (14% at constant exchange rates). This growth was driven by the popularity of its collections and new store openings, it noted.
