A small number of Chinese businesspeople have gained access to North Korea’s Rason Special Economic Zone in recent months, according to NK News analysis, a sign that Pyongyang is selectively accepting Chinese investment in the zone even as broader border restrictions remain in place.

Multiple videos posted on Douyin (TikTok) since September show Chinese businesspeople entering and moving around Rason, the northeastern port city near the border with China and Russia.
