A government building in the North Korean border city of Sinuiju burned to the ground earlier this month, satellite imagery shows, even as the fire visible from China went unreported in both Chinese and DPRK media. 

The blaze occurred at the North Pyongan Provincial Workers’ Party Committee building in central Sinuiju on Dec. 7, with videos filmed from the Chinese city of Dandong appearing to capture the fire across the Yalu River.
