Patrick Mahomes Makes NFL History vs. Jared Goff, Lions as Fans Hype Chiefs' Big Win

Patrick Mahomes set NFL history in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 30-17 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday night.

Mahomes became the quickest quarterback to reach 300 touchdown passes. The record was broken on a first-half touchdown pass to Xavier Worthy.

Mahomes produced 288 total yards in the much-needed victory for the Chiefs. He threw for three touchdowns and ran for another.

Mahomes got all of his offensive weapons involved on Sunday night. Travis Kelce led the team with 78 receiving yards, but JuJu Smith-Schuster and Hollywood Brown also chipped in on a slow night for Xavier Worthy.

The Chiefs are now back at .500 with a 3-3 record and should have a winning record by this time next week after they face the Las Vegas Raiders. The Chiefs still have some catching up to do in the AFC standings, but they seem poised to reel off a handful of wins with Mahomes playing at his current level.
