North Korean prosecutors left for Russia on Monday, according to state media, a year after the two countries’ prosecution chiefs agreed to cooperate in tackling crime in cyberspace and other areas, as Moscow and Pyongyang have forged stronger bilateral ties over the Ukraine war.

The Korean Central News Agency only mentioned that Yun Kwang Won, the deputy head of the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office, headed the “working-level” delegation to Russia in a brief report on Tuesday, without providing further information about the purpose of the visit.
