Much of North Korea’s capital looked like a ghost town on Wednesday as authorities appeared to clear the streets of vehicles for the 14th anniversary of Kim Jong Il’s death. 

According to multiple photos taken in the city and seen by NK News, Pyongyang’s usually bustling streets fell silent for the anniversary, with only a sparse number of buses operating and few passengers waiting at the station.
