ROK activists attempt to send food and supplies to North Korean POWs in Ukraine


South Korean activists are attempting to send material assistance and defection information to North Korean POWs held in Ukraine, advocating for the soldiers’ resettlement in the South as their detention enters its 10th month. 

“A total of 2.15 million won ($1,535) will be delivered to the North Korean prisoners in Ukraine in the form of food and other essential supplies,” Jang Se-yul, the head of Gyeore’eol Unification Solidarity, told NK News on Thursday.
