South Korean foreign minister Cho Hyun met his Russian counterpart for the first time and expressed concern over continued military cooperation between Russia and North Korea, urging Moscow to put an end to such activities.

The meeting, which took place in New York on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly on Friday, covered key bilateral issues as well as the situation on the Korean Peninsula, according to Seoul’s foreign ministry.
