The life (and shoe style) of two different showgirls, same curb in SoHo.

On Friday evening, Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter — who appears on the title track of Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl” — stepped out in two very different ideas of a night out heel after dining at The Corner Store in Manhattan.

Swift opted for a twist on her “English Teacher” persona in Gucci’s Horsebit platform slingback pumps in an embossed burgundy leather, a loafer-hybrid style set on a thick platform base with a high block heel. The upper is embossed with the brand’s GG monogram and finished with gold horsebit hardware across the vamp, staying secure thanks to a slim slingback strap and side buckle. The style, which originally retailed for $1,560, is currently unavailable, save for resale platforms.

Carpenter went in the opposite direction with a slim satin stiletto from Pedro García. Her shoe features an open toe, cutaway side and a crystal-set buckle at the vamp, with a narrow tapered heel and a matte satin upper.

The model, which seems to have originally retailed for $850, is no longer produced by the Spanish label and now appears only on resale platforms, in some places for as low as $40.

Swift paired her Gucci slingback platforms with an asymmetrical plaid and brown pleated mini skirt and polo from Thom Browne. As for accessories, she carried a camel shoulder bag from The Row and wore jewelry from 100 Ways and Cartier, plus her Kindred Lubeck engagement ring from Travis Kelce. Carpenter kept in the same color palette, opting for a cream cable-knit turtleneck from Guest in Residence, a black mini skirt and a long camel-colored trench coat.

Both shoes also reflect ongoing shoe silhouette patterns for each artist. Swift has leaned heavily into ultra-high platforms across her “Showgirl” promo cycle, wearing versions from Jimmy Choo, René Caovilla and Gucci. Carpenter, meanwhile, alternates between platform stage shoes and more traditional evening stilettos for offstage outings, often favoring satin or crystal embellishment.
